Yoni means female sexual organ. This compatibility is understood through knowing the animal sign and its gender of the nakshatra. Each nakshatra has an animal whose sexuality influences the individual. ideal sexuality is between the male and female of the same animal. But it is important to remember that just sexual compatibility is not enough to hold a relationship together.
The animal signs of the nakshatras are full of deep meanings and esoteric significance. The nakshatras animals are divided into female and male animal energies. The male animal is more active and dynamic, while the female animal is the passive one. The animal sign of Ashwini and Shatabhishak is the Horse, Ashwini being the male horse will be more dynamic and active while Shatabhishak reflects the receptive energy of the female Horse. The animals are connected to their characteristics in the wild. The animal signs represent the intuitive nature of humans, which if expressed unchecked will reflect their animal qualities. We learn to control and discipline these natural instincts. Sexual compatibility is linked to the animal signs. Ideal sexual compatibility is between the male and female of the same species like Vishakha and Chitra- the masculine and feminine side of the Tiger. If you are seeking sexual happiness, you need to choose a partner who is your animal counterpart. Animals that are inimical in the animal kingdom will not have a good sexual compatibility. It is important to remember, sexual compatibility does not necessary suggest that you are in harmony in other areas of relationships too. Two male or female nakshatras together can be too active or passive regardless of their sex. In such a partnership you would need to emphasize the missing energy for the right balance.

*The Mongoose has no ideal sexual partner. This is a point where the soul realizes that their spiritual journey needs to be completed alone. The mongoose always has to compromise on their sexual happiness. There are partners who will fulfill their sexual needs but never totally satisfy.

The sexual relationships of the following pairs do not work, as they are natural enemies in the wild. Relationships between sexual adversaries, makes the sex as the bone of contention and the nakshatras fighting to establish supremacy through sexual power play.
