Navagraha Temples & Nadi Astrology 

Nava grahas are the nine planets used in Vedic Astrology. This tour will visit the nine temples dedicated to the planetary gods. These Temples are unique in Tamil Nadu where, within a short distance, there are separate temples dedicated to each of the Nava Grahas -Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu. The tour begins in Pondichery and ends in Mahabalipuram. We will stay one night at Pondichery and Mahabalipuram, 6 nights at Kumbhalonam and two nights at Mayiladuthurai. One of these temple towns is also the home of Nadi Astrology. Nadi astrology is the palm leaf astrology that deals with past karma, present life and future direction. This tour is a must for all serious students of Astrology- Vedic or otherwise. The tour is guided by Komilla Sutton.

Accomodation will be good quality hotels with ensuite bathrooms on a bed and breakfast basis. Upgrade to boutique hotels which are unusual and ethnic, possible in most places.

Personal Panchang

Panch means five Anga means limbs. Panchanga means the five limbs of the day and it is the Indian ephemeris, which takes into account the five sources of energy that support each day. The essence of the panchanga is how the Sun and Moon relate to each daily. Panchang of the day birth effects our emotions, temperament and nature. It can give added information about who we are and how we feel. It can strengthen the effect of the planets and give us additional qualities that we may not understand purely through the natal chart. Panchanga is what sustains the birth chart, its supporting energy. Panchang of the day of birth is the most important one as it effects the psychology of the individual. We study the Panchang for Mahurta and tend to forget its influence on the natal chart. The birth Panchang is like the surroundings within which the birth chart must operate. Ignore the surrounding and you do not understand the complete picture. This four day intensive will cover - dina, hora, nakshatra, tithi, karana, yoga, nama nakshatra, dagdha rasis, yogi and avayogi planets.

This course is suitable for all students of Vedic Astrology.

Ayurveda and Medical Astrology

Health and healing will be two important parts of this course. We will study all aspects that deal with health.

Ayurveda is the knowledge of life based on the eternal wisdom of Great Sages. Ayurveda aims to balance the cosmic energies within the inner man so that he can live in harmony with nature. Disharmony in the mind, body or soul level creates disease. It gives insight into the constitution of an individual, their specific body type, the inherent karmic weaknesses and strengths. Most importantly how and when the imbalances and disease occur. The past life contributes not just to our present emotional problems but also the physical ones. The lagna, 6th house, 8th house, the lord of these houses and the debilitated planets all will indicate health issues. This course will focus on all aspects of Medical Astrology with special focus on Ayurveda and Yoga. The timing of disease and the upaye - remedial measure - through fasts, yoga, sadhana, spiritual practice etc
