Correspondence Course for Beginners
The Vedic Astrology Correspondence Course for Beginners is an ideal opportunity for those wanting to understand the basics of the complex subject of Vedic Astrology.

No previous knowledge of Vedic Astrology is necessary.

This intensive 180 page correspondence course is designed to give a comprehensive grounding in the principles of Vedic Astrology.

There are ten lessons. A final test at the end of the last lesson must be sent to Komilla. There is no time limit for the course, you work at your own pace.

Lesson One
Part 1
The Philosophy of the Vedic Astrology - Understanding Karma, the transmigration of the Soul, the four aims of life and the spiritual basic on which all Vedic principles are formed.
Part 2
The Sidereal Zodiac, the North Indian and the South Indian Charts, The Ayanamsha, Whole signs, Bhavas, House cusps etc.

Lesson Two
Part 1
The Grahas (Planets) Surya, Chandra, Mangala, Buddha, Guru, Shukra and Shani - The Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn.
Part 2
Planetary relationships, exaltation and debilitation, planetary strengths and aspects explained.

Lesson Three
Parts 1 and 2
Rahu Ketu: the Nodes of the Moon. Rahu Ketu are vitally important in understanding of Vedic Astrology. The whole evening will be devoted to them, their shadowy nature, their aspects, the relationship with the Sun and the Moon eclipses, the myths and Karma.

Lesson Four
Part 1
The Rashis (Zodiac signs), Mesha (Aries) to Kanya (Virgo)
Part 2
Tula (Libra) to Mina (Pisces)

Lesson Five
Part 1
The Bhava Chakra - the twelve houses of the zodiac. The karakas (significators), the meanings, the rulers of each house. How the placement of house rulers affect the chart. 1st to 6th Houses.
Part 2
Bhava Chakras - 7th to 12th houses.

Lesson Six
Part 1
The Lagna (Ascending sign) and it's relationship with other signs. Surya and Chandra Lagnas.
Part 2
Rashi’s continued. Kalapurusha, elements, qualities, gunas and doshas.

Lesson Seven
Part 1
The Nakshatras, the Indian Lunar Zodiac. The Ashwini to Ashlesha Nakshatras explained.
Part 2
Magha to Jyeshtha Nakshatras.

Lesson Eight
Part 1
Nakshatras continued - Mula to Revati Nakshatras.
Part 2
The Navamsha- the 9th division is the most important sub- chart.

Lesson Nine
Part 1 and 2
The Vargas- the 16 harmonic charts, which deal with children, career, past lives, problems etc.

Lesson 10
Part 1
Vimshottari Dasha system - the unique predictive system of Vedic astrology based on the Nakshatras. The Mahadashas, Bhuktis and Antar dashas
