| Weekend Vedic Astrology Intensive |
| Venue- 50 Gloucester place, London, W1 Timing 10am to 5pm |
| 18 October - Karakas |
Karaka means the doer, the significator. Karakas are the essential tool for Vedic astrologers. Planets take on the mantle of the karakas. These karakas drive the chart in fulfilling the soul’s demands. Specific areas of life have different karakas. When studying a particular aspect about the chart, analyse the same issue from the point of view of its significator. Whereas the house shows the quality of the experience, the karaka shows what drives it. The quality of the karakas can improve, elevate the specific areas of the chart. This workshop will deal with Natural or Naisargika Karakas, Fixed or Sthira Karakas, Movable or Chara Karakas, Yoga Karakas and Bhava Karakas
|
| Special attention will be given to Chara karakas specially Atma karaka, the significator of the soul, Amatya karaka, the planet that helps the soul achieve its ambitions.. |
| |
| 19 October - Planetary Yogas |
| The concept of Yogas is unique to Jyotish. Yoga means a yoke and a connection. In Jyotish there are many connections made by planets by being placed in specific relationships to each other. Sometimes two difficult planets connect together in a unique way and instead of creating problems, they bring about a special energy that helps the chart rather than hinders it. The yogas can show the maturity of the soul, and through various tests will help it to develop and progress along the evolutionary path it has chosen. Of course you can have yogas which ease the way as well as those which seem to create difficulties for no obvious reason other than to make you grind to a halt.
|
| We will study the Solar and Lunar yogas, the Mahapurusha yogas, Raja Yogas, Neechabhanga Raja Yoga ( Cancellation of Debilitation) and Dhana, wealth creating Yogas. WE may focus on more if the time allows. |
| |
| This is part of level two study of the complete Vedic Astrology Course. Comprehensive manual will accomany both the workshops |
