| Venus Breaks the Kal Sarpa on 18 Dec |
| There are three important event in December. First Jupiter goes into Capricorn on 8th Dec, second, Venus Rahu Conjunction on 18th December that finally breaks the Kal Sarpa yoga, although it will linger on till the end of the month when Venus leaves Capricorn and finally the Station and retrograde of Saturn on 31 December. |
| Kal Sarpa yoga that has been troubling all of us will finally loosen its grip from 18 December when Venus breaks the Kal Sarpa yoga. The slow relaxing of the fear and anxiety will be visible from the new year onwards. |
| Saturn's Station at 27 Degrees Leo will be tough for those who have planets placed there. It will be generally a stress time for all and specially for Capriorn, Aquarius and Leo Lagna or Moon. But any planet in the direct path of Saturn will feel effected. As Saturn slows down to retrograde it remains on the same degree for over a month and therefore it grinds down the energy of any planet that happens to be under it. It usually leads to major events in personal life that change the course of your life. |

| Finally We come to Jupiter in Capricorn. After the turmoil of the last few months, Jupiter is Capricorn advises great caution. It is a debilitated sign for Jupiter but it is not necessary a negative position. It does take the relaxed expansiveness and generosity of Jupiter. In place in leave a person who is cautios, practical, unwilling totake risks.- not such a bad thing in the present circumstances. Jupiter in Capricorn is the sign for Accountants and Bankers and maybe this transit will bring out their cautious side and they will no longer be happy to gamble away the fortunes of others. |
| The key aspect of Jupiter in Capricorn will be to be cautious, don't strech yourself, pay off your debts and be realistic about what life can bring. It may seem boring or not such fun- but every aspect of a planet has a definate lesson to all of us. |
| This is not an easy transit for Sagittarius and Pisces as their lagna lord is debilitated. It may bring up health issues. also they may need to be realsitic about their ambitions. While Jupiter in Sagittarius gave them many opportunities, now in Capricorn he is getting them to use them properly and allow Saturnine energy to harness them into something viable. they may need to work harder than before. Both of them have to be careful not to become too materialistic. |
| One of the big conjunctions for Jupiter is with Rahu throughout the creating a Guru Chandala Yoga. This shows that the Guru ( advisors, counsellors etc) have lost some of their purity. Yuo may find 2009 a year where there are lots of scandals about teachers, advisors ( specially the financial kind) and their already tarnished reputation get get more spoilt. |
| Also you may be susceptible to poor or negative advise. therefore you should usually get a second point of view. All the Gurus, advisors and teachers out there will need be careful too, that yuo do not give into the temptations of Rahu to bend the rules and in extreme cases maybe con others. |
| Rahu Jupiter conjunction takes place on 12th February with Mars also there. This is the most dificult conjunction. ( more in FEb) |
| One of the positive effect of Jupiter in Capricorn will be the rise in the stock markets. Jupiter in Capricorn creates resticitions and therefore it makes the prices dearer. |
| Jupiter blesses the River Tungabhadra |
As Jupiter goes into Capricorn on 9 Dec 2008, he will be blessing the river Tungabhadra for the year. Tunga bhadra is made up of two rivers Tunga and Bhadra, it flows from the western ghats through Karnataka into the Sacred Krishna river. The area where is flows through was part of the ancient Viyayanagar empire and there are many ancient site located around Hampi. The river flows through granite hills with very stark topography which seems very Capricornian. The major shrines on the banks of Tungabhadra will hold festivals to welcome the pushkara of its river. All the major gods will visit the river along with Pushkara and cleanse the river and its people on 9 Dec 2008. People who live around Tunga bhadra could also use this auspicious year to begin projects to cleanse the pollution from the river at the same time as the Gods are blessing more about the myth of pushkara
