| Mercury retrograde till 19th |
| We can blame Mercury for the late posting of this month's planets. Mercury retrograde has been creating small obstacles in communications and therefore I could not get to the internet cafe in Pune ( a city full of them). Finally he has allowed me to communicate and I have found the best connection and will be able to connect regularly. Despite the best planning and knowledge of the retrograde sometime we have to contend with the disrupted energies. I think as astrologer- we take these very well as we know that these are tricks of a playful Mercury and will go away soon. |
| Mercury is in Capricorn and all those who are feeling its effects should double check on all their plans- travelling anf Mercury retrograde usually throws up some complications but if one is aware- it does have the compensations. 19th - the day Mercury goes direct is usually complicated- so do watch out. |
| Rare Saturn Sun connection |
| Sun has been in Capricorn most of this month and now it is in Aquarius, both signs ruled by Saturn. Saturn is in Leo ruled by the Sun. So Saturn and Sun are exchanging signs till 14 March 2008. This is known as parivartana yoga and can happen only when Saturn is in Leo which is about every 29 years. This Parivartana yoga will take place again in 2009 as Saturn continues its journey in Leo. |
| Parivartana between the brighest and the dimmest planets, between King and worker, Autocracy and democracy is throwing up interesting conflicts when people power is most in evidence and many people in authority can loose their jobs as Saturn throws challenges to those in power. |
| Capricorn, Aquarius and Leo Lagnas or Moon are also making important changes in their life. They are moving from one situation to another. This exchange of energy makes both the planets stronger but success or strength usually comes after intitial struggles as both Saturn and Sun are in enemy houses. So if there is opposition to change, do persevere as opportunities can open up and An autocratic Leo can see the poor Saturn's point of view and Saturn can taste the graduer of the Sun too. |

| Sun will make a conjunction with Rahu on 16 Feb. Rahu Sun conjunctions are difficult to analyse as they reveal and give a lot- it can be positive or negative. best to remain in balance. |
| 24 Feb has the annual Sun Saturn opposition. This is usually a stressful day as Rahu Ketu are also part of the opposition plus Saturn and Sun are in parivartana. Not a day to plan major activities. |
